Back to work. According to AS, Mourinho has already set player return dates for this summer. Those who are not participating in the Euro 2012 Championship will report to Valdebebas on July 16. The rest will come back depending on the stages of their elimination: July 23, 26, 28, 30.
Friendlies. Real Madrid will return to Los Angeles to take part in three friendlies for one leg of their summer tour. The club had turned down an offer to train in Recife, Brazil for pre-season training. AS reports that UCLA will once again be the training base, & the Beverly Hills Hotel will accommodate the squad while in California.There is speculation among the US press that New York will host a friendly between Real Madrid & Inter Milan in late July. Offers from Honduras, Costa Rica, & Guatemala have also come in. Two more friendlies in Europe are mentioned, although the opponents are still to be determined.
