So I’m on PETA’s official mailing list at work because I once caved to their requests and ran a pro bono ad for them because it had a dapper picture of Paul McCartney in it and you know I love him. I hate being on their mailing list.

I don’t hate HATE PETA because I mean how can you be a person with a heart and hate people who theoretically are around to hang out with adorable animals and make sure they’re OK and stuff? I just have no use for their raging agendas against meat and fine leather goods as I thoroughly enjoy both. I realize the last two sentences are relatively contradictory and I am fine with that.

I know… I’ll see you in hell. I’m aware.

ANYWAYS, getting things in the mail from them always stresses me out because I know that I have zero interest in reading their content, but I feel slightly bad tossing it into the recycling because they’ve always got some super cute puppy on the cover that doesn’t deserve to be filed circularly.

Why not just get off their mailing list you say?

Because they sent me a 2012 calendar and my work decided to stop paying for those to happen in the office, so people have been kinda desperate for em. So getting off the list while still using the calendar seems like a total dick move to me.

These are some of my professional struggles.
